Potential Women’s Wrestling Team that

I heard some rumblings that the University of Iowa is considering starting a women’s wrestling program.

I think that this would be a great move. In this area there would be support for the program. It would give Iowa the opportunity to be a trend setter in Women’s athletics. The program could be very successful here. I would support this team, and watch them compete.

Women’s wrestling is not dumb. It has a long history dating back to Ancient Greece. It’s gaining popularity at the high school level. The University of Iowa would be a perfect place for it to gain acceptance at the college level. I also look forward to multiple national championships.

Those women in the Olympics are pretty darn good at wrestling. It's been around for quite awhile.

I used to watch lots of it, years ago. Stacy Kebler or Torrie Wilson always were fun to watch and had great to the mat entrances. If Iowa does this Barta needs to quickly get Stephanie McMahon on the phone.

Ditto. Another subsidized program served up title 9 style.

Every program except for men’s basketball and football losses money. Men’s wrestling is the closest to being revenue neatral. However this may help Iowa to add a men’s team in soccer or lacrosse whilst being in compliance with title 9.
