Potential new starting lineup when Cook is back...

Moss or Baer could be interchangeable depending on who has the hot hand. Either would be a good spark off the bench

Couldn't agree more. Moss has looked more and more comfortable the last few games. I'm glad he played a lot last night and got to get in a groove. Pemsl has blown me and I'm sure most of us away with what he's been able to do. If either he or Cook can develop a consistent jumper the rest of the league will be in trouble in a year or so. (assuming they as a group can start defending and rebounding better)

I agree but Fran already took Baer's starting spot which is the hard part. I doubt he gets it back now unless there is lack of effort by someone.

Moss, Jok, and JB firing 3s with Pemsl and Cook scoring down low will be our best offense by far Fran has ever had. All 5 guys can score. Average defense and rebounding would get us to at least .500 in conference with that offense.

You're expecting a miracle if you think this team is going to be average defensively this year. I don't even know who our best defender is right now. Baer maybe?

I'm not expecting anything but it would be far from a miracle. They need to play decent team defense. Individual defense isn't going to be good. Translation, big need to help better.

I would suggest we go with the lineup below.

Bohannon
Jok
Moss
Pemsl
Cook

Thoughts?

I like it. What makes this lineup special is Cook's ability to knock down a mid range shot and handle the ball. He does those things better than Wagner. When he returns he needs to pick up his defense exponentially and also improve his rebounding on both ends. I really thought he was going to be a monster on the offensive glass but really hasn't shown it yet. This lineup also gives us a pretty easily defined rotation:

Bohannon 25 min / Williams 15 min
Jok 32 min / Ellingson 8 min
Moss 20 min / Baer 20 min
Cook 30 min / Uhl 10 min
Pemsl 25 min / Wagner 15 min

This is just a rough estimation. I'd like to see Williams and Moss take more minutes at the wing (from Ellingson) primarily for defense. I think we have enough 3pt shooting. I think Uhl and Wagner can provide great energy as forwards off the bench.

Odd sentence structure o_O

Wagner has been a beast with energy the last two games. I don't know if his not finishing is due to being in a hurry or if he just doesn't have it. If he just needs the game to slow down a bit, he could be really good too. He could be a double digit scorer if he could finish and make free throws.

Agree with the Starting Line Up, with support minutes from (in descending order) - Baer, Wagner, Williams and Uhl. Mop up minutes for Ellingson and Dailey. Not sure about Kreiner - redshirt - is he still eligible for that?

I'm not convinced with JBo starting because of his poor defense. Williams really is a much better defensive player, at this point, and CW can guard anywhere from the 1 to a small 4. And CW is a better ball handler, right now. I see JBo getting the ball stolen fairly often once we hit the B1G. But, man, he can shoot. He's almost on pare with Jok, in shooting ability, right now.
