Seeing and hearing the news of Noah Fant, waiting on T.J. Hockenson and injury to Shaun Beyer, the Hawkeyes should look at the following players:

Jalen Harris (Auburn) 6’ 4” 254 Montgomery, AL

Ean Pfeifer (Vanderbilt) 6’ 4” 300 Bentonville, AR-Plays OL (OG & LG)

Ceejhay French-Love (Arizona State) 6’ 4” 246 Long Beach, CA

John Lager (Yale) 6’ 5” 245 Golden Valley, MN

Tyler Davis (UConn) 6’ 4” 243 North Bellmore, NY

Austin Dorris (Indiana) 6’ 5” 252 Shadyside, OH

Looks like good gets. Any thoughts?

Why?

Grad transfers are just so rare under this coaching staff. They just don't bring in Senior guys for one last season like some other coaches do. They want to develop their own players, reward guys who have been in the system and working hard. They aren't like the one guy in the meme picture looking at the blurry girl while their current girlfriend gets mad.

With that said, Ceejhay French-Love has a great name.

Beyer will be healthy by spring ball, no need to worry there. Plus we've still got Wieting, Cook, Vejvoda, and Lee and Miamen incoming. We'll be fine at TE.

Here’s what I found on Ceejhay French-Love:

Played JC at East Los Angeles College; played other college at Colorado Mesa

Productive TE with reliable hands and the ability to split out wide

Adds another threat in the red zone because of his size and athleticism

Not afraid to give up his body in the middle of the field to make contested catches

No problem. Rookie mistake. :p

I am not so sure about Cook. You think he will get there? Strength etc...
I am curious and excited to see what Beyer can do.
Cook actually played some in heavy sets this year. Made a nice block on a TD run against Minny. He's probably more of your inline guy like Wieting, while Beyer compares with Fant a little.
