I believe he can fire the offensive line coach.
And he should.
1.9 yds per rush against NW.
Worst Iowa offensive line in 40+ years.

One way to get rid of someone from a position....promotion.

Listening to sports talk radio over the noon hour they were discussing elite coaches and elite programs and how generally results are seen within the first 2 or 3 years. As they talked the focus shifted from these coaches and programs bringing in players that fit the coaches identity and using that to sculpt the foundation to carry the program from that point forward while strengthening the rest of the positions around it. Which completely makes sense. It then got me thinking that we're seeing the exact opposite here in the fact that our line play which was once the foundation of the program on both sides of the ball have digressed and are no longer viewed as that foundation. Really made me start thinking about things.

I don't know what's more painful, watching our team

I've hated the Greg Davis hire since day 1 and absolutely think he's part of the problem. Just look at Iowa's offensive rankings since he took over. Iowa doesn't have the guys he did at Texas and it's not working out.

Phil Parker isn't Norm but he needs to do better. Lots of players looked out of position today and in the past, and the cushion being shown shouldn't happen.

It all starts at the top though and that's the problem.
