Winner! My guess is Fran was just too late. He hadnt even talked to Washpun until Payne left. Although he was a fan of the Hawks and there was a lot of pressure to go to Iowa, we just got in the game too late.
Also if Fran had a silent commit I dont think he would have offered in the first place.
Not sure about a silent commit... However, my guess is that Fran was very open/honest with WW about his role. I would have liked to see WW as a Hawk, but I get the feeling that Fran had/has others that he wants more. We shall see.
Yah why would Washpun go to Iowa to compete against Marble when he only has a four star to compete against at Tennessee........ Yah thats the ticket. Seriously it's clear he showed a little loyalty in staying with the coach who has believed in him the whole way. Good luck to him........he is going to need it.
I think FM keeps his recruits very close to the vest and rightfully so at this point in his Iowa tenure. I would not be surprised if he has someone pretty solid but all indications are its wide open as of now.Not concerned until after the Nov. signing period next fall. If he zero's out by then there may be a problem that needs fixed but I still give him 5 yrs min. to have the changes made.
That's right brother. The power of positivity. This will all work out in the end.
Darius Smith, Carter, and Glover are all ballers and we've got a shot at any one of them. Stokes is uncommitted as well.
I see rivals has Glover listed as a 2012 player. Thought he was a 2011.
Is it at all possible Fran has a silent guard commit for this week already lined up and he told Washpun about it? And as a result, Washpun wasn't thrilled about being the guy added for roster depth.
Carter? That would be some sweet action.
You never know, man.
Blast away.
Really, you know about all the players he's contacted and actively recruiting?I don't think he keeps the recruits close to the vest at all. Pretty much know everybody who we have even thought about. This is actually one thing Inwish he would do better. I would rather hear about the guy we signed, than all the guys we probably won't sign.
