Positive news on Wegher from Marc Morehouse-

He just tweeted it. Not sure what the "news" is, but hopefully it's good.

Just curious how you deduct positive news when it just said "news". Just asking if there is more. Kind of sounds like everything that we have gotten over the last week.

If he is back, I hope the all is forgiven and he can get up to speed for Eastern Illinois.

We need to go into that game with more than one experienced and effective back. Let him be officially 3rd string, so when Hampton becomes eligible Wegher has to win playing time back. That is a way to address the time missed issue, without looking like it is being disregarded.

If we only go in with one experienced back, we will need to protect him and it will limit what the offense can do.

Things would be different if it were an injury keepin him out. Putting him back out on the field right away and jumping everyone else thats been doin the time wouldnt send a very good message to the team...IMO.

Like we didn't need anything against UNI? Or Michigan didn't need anything against Appy State?

Do not underestimate anyone, ever.

Would you like me to list every Div 1 team that smacked every Div 2 team ever. You found one that won good work. Sure it would be great to have BW, but NEEDING him to win is not correct is all I was getting at.

I also don't care what other teams in Div 1AA they beat Iowa don't need anything to beat Eastern Illinois .

Perhaps everyone is forgetting that they have 13 player suspensions for the Iowa game. We wouldn't have had trouble with them at full strength, and we certainly won't with their roster so depleted.

When the last time Iowa lost to a DIV 1AA school? What is Iowa's all time record against those schools ?

We were damn close to losing last year to UNI. While we didn't lose, it's pretty foolish to just assume that we don't NEED a player to be an FCS school. What if we hadn't had Stanzi, or Moeaki, or Hunter (who blocked the 2nd FG) against UNI? After last season, I'm not going to make the assumption that we don't need a player like Wegher just because we are playing an FCS school.

Some get it and others don't. In my humble opinion you need to go into every game like you are a 2 touchdown underdog.

Yes we should beat the heck out of EI but so should we have done the same to UNI & AS.

Get on board...we need everyone we have and they need to be healthy. Cut the crap out about how we will clobber them. I know they are preparing to win.

Enough said.

Go HAWKS

I haven't seen where they had 13 suspended. I have seen where they dismissed 3. Link?

This might have something to do with a love child, but I think it's also about playing time. If B. Wegher sticks around, then he wants to play. He doesn't want to be 3rd string, and can you blame him? He's weighing his options. Seeing some injuries in our RB depth will bring B. Wegher back to camp. Hopefully I'm right, and A-Rob's problems will get his *** back to practice, but you gotta wonder about his mindset. We need players that are busting their ***** off in practice and not going back and forth about being part of the team or not.
