Will this "independent" investigation turn up anything or was it just lip service by the University? And was Doyle the scapegoat to let the other coaches continue on at Iowa?

Do you think Kirk was surprised by the accusations former players outlined against Doyle? Or rather, do you think Kirk was aware of the bullying culture, but didn't previously understand how upsetting and harmful it was to some players, even years later? Or do you think he also knew that, but was only forced to take action publicly once explosive racial elements came into play and the situation spun out of his control? (I'll hang up and listen).
