I love our current helmets...but gold sparkles would be nice. What about a black sparkly helmet with a gold sparkle tiger hawk?

When you have an iconic logo you don't change it. In rankings I've read in the past Iowa is around 13th for the most recognizable logo in college football. I don't mind a change for a game or two. I thought the stars and stripes in the tigerhawk logo was cool. I'm talking with the black helmets, gray not so much. Throwbacks I've never cared for much, pro or college. I would hate to be like ISU changing constantly in search of something to build on. I will say I saw on Yardbarker a few days ago a black ISU helmet with a red tornado on the side that was pretty cool.

I'd like to see what an outline of an oversized tigerhawk looks like on a black helmet (boise went with that a few years ago and stuck with it ... on one side).

in any case either the helmets have gotten larger or something, I think Iowa's tiger hawk could be just a tad bit larger.
