I agree with everything in the first post except for Marble and JO. I think Gesell, not Marble, is the best player on the team, but Marble is the best scorer and has a scorer's mentality like no one else on the team has, thus he leads the team in scoring. The only problem I have with Oglesby is that he is on the floor as a three-point specialist and we run a play for him like he's Marshall Henderson, but sometimes he doesn't look to shoot when he catches it. Also, if you look at all the elite 3-point shooters in the game, none of them release the shot as slowly as JO does. But I don't think it's fair to say he's not a Big Ten caliber player, only because of those points.
I think I tend to agree with you about mike gesell being the best player and marble the best scorer. Gesell seems to make everyone around him better. I am not sure that marble does that. And the best player on the team typically makes everyone else better.
