Plano, TX 5 Star RB tweets....

I don't get it, you mean there are several Asian girls at Iowa. I always thought it was the same one or she had a twin or something. Geez, this thread belongs in racism is based in ignorance forum.

This thread feels like a version of 'Mean Girls '. Where do the plastic girls hangout? Where is Regina George?

I'll give y'all the same advice one of my buddies in the JWC (Japanese Wives Club) gave me: Never date a fresh off the boat Chinese gal for more than 2 weeks. China's one child policy has given FOB Chinese gals, especially those whose families can afford to pay rack rates for a US education, a princess complex that makes the [certain religion that runs Israel] American Princesses seem tame by comparison.

The reason the schools want those kids is because they pay rack rates, out of state tuition with no discounts. Many of them cheat like hell on the standardized tests and TOEIC tests to gain admission. When they get to college, they rarely interact with the natives. The schools have let so many of them in that they can easily go 4 years without speaking a word of English outside of the classroom. Ma was an exchange student and I lived in Japan, so I totes understand the difficulties of learning a new language, but the Chinese kids I see around NU only roll in big packs, are loud as hell and have such a poor command of the English language that I have no idea how they get into American schools. Hell, we wanted to "give back" and we hosted a few at the beginning of the school year and their English was completely incomprehensible.

Oh, by the way, the 2014 incoming freshman class at Illinois was 10% Chinese nationals - 600 out of 6000. Talk about selling out for a few dollars.

I believe the point is that in general the diversity at the University of Iowa as it relates to female Asian students is good. Sure some people may have had unpleasant experiences, but mine have been much better. If that is something that is important to a potential recruit Iowa is a good place to go.

My fiance is Vietnamese, and I have enjoyed the culture heritage and lifestyle very much. At first language was a bit of a problem. She had learned English in school as it is required there but she was not fluent at the time. I learned Viet too and that helped bridge the gap. Now there are no problems at all. Before her I met a Chinese lady who was fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, Japanese and English! So every one is different. Still in general the Asian students at Iowa are a big plus.

Sure lots of pretty Asians and White girls but why no black girl cheerleaders? only one or two on the girls basketball team..you never see black girls on tv at the games.....you dont think the recruits dont see that?

Will be interesting where this thread goes. Wonder who will take it too far.

I have never stopped trying to learn Viet. I am not fluent and may naver be. It is a tonal language and the pronunciations are difficult to get just right, and if that is not right the meaning of the word changes completely.
