I miss that about Iowa, but I can’t take how Iowa is like a time warp back to the 80’s. Here you have unlimited options for things to do, food to eat and you are 10 minutes from anything you would ever need to buy. When I go home I can only take about a week of it. I do miss the people, fishing, the green and the changing of the seasons but I’ve gotten too used to this year round: View attachment 5675
That is green because it has been watered to beat hell. Eastern Iowa within 4 hours of Twin Cities, Chicago, Milwaukee, St Louis and Kansas City. Close enough. And Christmas actually seems like Christmas.
