Picking the Hawkeyes: Illinois





In my opinion it is good for the Hawkeyes when illinois is down. Iowa can recruit Chicago without every good recruit getting snagged up by the Illini. The best players will still go to the blue bloods but Illinois doesnt have any cred iin the Chicago area. Now Iowa just needs to start putting together some successful season and really separate ourselves from Illinois.
 








There is not a game in the first 6 that Iowa can't win. Iowa will probably be favored in 5 of the 6. With the exception being at the bad-gers where Iowa always plays well. Plus this is a down year for the bad-gers. 6-0 is seriously doable for Iowa believe it or not. Win the 5 they are supposed to win and pull of a minor upset over the bad-gers and they go 6-0.

And how many times in the past 5 years have we seen Iowa win every game the were "supposed to win"?
 


2013 they won all but one game that they were favored in. Didn't Las Vegas have the Northern Illinois game as a toss up. This is the type of team that can shut down teams that they are favoured against. Strong defense, experienced linebackers, powerful upfront. I dare say that this team is even better in both the secondary and defensive line than that team.

Well you are either extremely positive, delusional, or just messing with everyone. Vegas says 7.5 for the Hawks this year. I think they know what they're talking about. I'm not trying to be negative, but if I had to bet, I would take the under.

And just who is this A Daniels you speak so highly of? There's a LeShun Daniels Jr. on the roster but that starts with an L in case they didn't go over the alphabet during your days at Harvard. ;)
