"Pick Six" is a stupid term.

The Sash lateral against MSU. The Hyde pick against MIZZ. Simply saying pick six just doesn't do them justice......... I could see a pick inside the 10 or 15 but that is about it.
 
What if there is a fumble and the Defense picks the ball up and returns it for a touchdown, technically the pall was picked up, so I could say pick six, but then one would think interception but it is clearly not....I may not be able to watch football anymore with this on my mind
 
No point in arguing this anymore. I agree this is stupid. If you want to say "interception for a touchdown", go for it.

Every summer I compete in the world championship of tecmo bowl, and we have a phrase that has come out of this battle that I think is awesome that's kinda similar to pick six that I think should get some play, it just doesn't happen all that often. The term is called "negative four." A negative four is when your team kicks a field goal (or kick 3 according to our thread) and then gives up a kick return for a touchdown, because well, the resulting plays turned out costing you negative four points. Negative four is way better than pick six.

In my opinion thats more like an 10 point swing. FG's aren't automatic but we'd like to think they are. So I'd call it a negative ten
 
"Pick Six" does more than impart knowledge of a six point score for the other team due to an interception. It also contains the emotions associated with the interception. Ex: AAAAaaaarrrrrggggghhhhhh!!!!!!!!! Nooooo!!! *$^(&#^&**&$#@

Just my humble take on it.
 
It is getting annoying because of its over-use. I'm so old, I remember the term, "coffin corner," anybody else??

All field goals are worth 3 points...thus 'kick three' is redundant. All safeties are worth 2 points...thus 'tackle for two' is redundant. All kicked PATs are worth 1 point, all two point conversions are worth 2 points. Not all interceptions are worth 6 points. 'Pick six' describes the interception and the resulting touchdown. Out of spite for coonhawk, I move that we start referring to a kickoff/punt returns for touchdowns as a 'kick six'.
