I think what you are trying to say is that Alabama and Clemson are in a class of their own.LOL.
And then Iowa getting killed by Alabama or Clemson 145-3 in the semis.
Clemson has outscored all non SEC/ACC opponents 98-20.
Alabama has outscored non SEC/ACC opponents 142-83 and did get beat by Ohio State once.
The last two times a B1G team even appeared in the CFP they got blown out 38-0 and 31-0 in the first round. I'm sorry, but for anyone who has dreams and aspirations of making the CFP and beyond that winning a game or keeping the score within 50 pts, you should abandon your delusion and be content with hope of winning the Big Ten and being left out of the CFP (which is going to be the new norm). The top teams in the SEC/ACC play big boy football and the Big Ten might as well be D-2.
Folks can be mad about it and flame me all they want, but it doesn't change facts. Until someone can prove me wrong by a Big Ten team putting up even a hint of a fight it's all wasted breath.
Here are the national champions by conference not named Alabama or Clemson since the playoff began:
B1G: 1
ACC: 0
SEC: 0
PAC 12: 0
Big 12: 0
Am I bending numbers here? Absolutely, but it’s really just Alabama and Clemson then everybody else. It’s not simply a Big10 problem. Notre Dame suffered the same fate as did Washington.
Now as an Iowa fan correct I’m not worried about the playoff. The goal should be to get to Indy. I’m pretty sure the poster your were replying to was being completely sarcastic. But to make it sound like this is a B1G problem is far from accurate, outside of Clemson and Bama nobody has had much CFP success.
