Here's a recent interview with Ben, It's fun to listen too. Towards the end Ben talks about his playing days. Good shooter no so hot on passing the ball, lol.

I haven't seen anything as to why Ashton Williamson de-committed or where he is going.
But do find it interesting that Payton McCollum committed the very next day.
I didn't know anything about Payton other than seeing in a family picture. And, he was taller than everyone else. Not living in Iowa I didn't realize he was 1st team all-state at Waukee NW and had played in the state championship game, losing to Jirak's Valley team.
Payton does have a pretty good resume, 6'2" PG, shot 50% from the field, 40% from 3, over 80% from the line so he's evidently a good shooter.
I would guess it known all along that Payton was going to be a Hawkeye although he was never mentioned in any press release as being a candidate. It appears he will be a 3rd PG and a redshirt candidate.
This means we will have a second Payton from Waukee NW on the roster. I hope he has a career like the first one did.
I wish Payton #2 nothing but the best as he embarks on his Hawkeye career.
