Hey guys, I'm just spitballing here, but I'm thinking about putting up one of those petitions on the White House page telling Obama what I want done. Would you guys be interested in signing a petition increasing the NIT field to 128 to help us get in?

I think you expand both the NIT and the NCAA to be a tournament with 148 teams, with 20 play in games.

Screw the bottom 48 teams in d1, they obviously aren't good enough to get in.

You beat Minnesota and you are in anyway. Lose and you are a lock for the NIT.

Quit trying to confuse people here.

they could put everybody in the dance like they do in HS, 256 teams would mean 2 extra games, matchup the last teams up with what ever teams to get the field to 256 teams by playing on a host school on a Monday then kick off the rest of the tourney on Thursday, or split all the teams between the Ncaa and the NIT and have the winner of each play for a NT, that way they can throw all those sily records of this coach has been to the BD. and take away the schools excuse of firing coaches, because they didn't get in enough

Why even play a season then?

I think the NCAA has too many teams.

seeding and deciding league champs. Iowa high school basketball does it and I was still invested in the regular season when I followed high school basketball.

I guess. What are there 345 division one men's teams?

I like the entertainment value of of the NCAA tournament. I have been watching a lot of college games lately and there are some terrible teams that are NCAA bound already. I guess that makes me think there are way too many teams in the field.

When I was a kid I used to try to play through an all team make the tournament, tournament. I never finished it but the lowest seeds in the tournament would beat the top seeds quite often. I was a dumb kid.

Tell me you wouldn't pay to watch Chicago State play Kentucky? Think of the upset potential.

Why are you doing this? Are you afraid Northwestern won't make it to the NIT again once Shurna graduates?
