I'm glad you asked, because successful trolling and "good" trolling are not one in the same. If he came in here denying the holocaust, that would get a good reaction too, but wouldn't be a good troll.

I do not consider this trolling attempt successful or good. The OP is clearly a CyFan troller who is posing as a panther fan posing as a Hawk fan. The fact that it took me about 3 seconds to figure that out automatically makes it a bad troll. A good troll always makes the mark think he's for real. However, the real reason why this is a bad troll is that the bait clearly didn't make anyone mad. It was based on a non-issue (who the hell thinks Jok is getting over-hyped?). No one is going to get super worked up over this. The main duty of a troll is not to get a thread off-topic (or to start a benign topic, like the OT did here), but rather to upset the people reading it. While he did get a reaction, it was not an angry or emotional reaction. That means it was a bad troll.

Ghost, you need to create a "trolling" manual and sell it on ebay, amazon and at Barnes and Noble. You will make millions and then also in turn the "trolling" on this site might step up to the next level and actually be enjoyable.
