McCabe family was informed by Barta that Lick is not coming back. Just the messenger...
You know with nothing else for a source you are going to get blasted for reporting second hand info.
That's why I said I'm just the messenger. Take from it what you want. I found it intriguing. Not sure if I believe it or not. But that's the word going around and I thought people may want to know.

Tom Kakert of HawkeyeReport.com has refuted this claim, saying he has spoken with parties close to many of the prospects and they have said they have heard no such thing. Rob Howe from HawkeyeInsider.com does not have any info to corroborate any of this, either.
I was in contact with McCabe's father today to get a feel for where they stood on things, and they were focused on Zach's state championship game and would continue to be until that was finished.
It would be impossible to stop all of the rumors from spreading at this point in time...this is a flood of epic proportions on the web unlike anything I have seen in the 11 years I have been doing this.
Please just try and show some degree of responsibility.
Normally, it's the coach that contacts his recruits/players. and let's them know. You can count on the fact that the AD will reach out to the recruits if and when a decision to make a change is announced.

I'm not following? Normally if a coach is told he is being let go, he contacts his players in a team meeting to tell them he won't be back. Then he (or his assistants normally) contact the recruits and tell them. The AD does normally do the contacting, at least not in the ones I've heard of.What about when there is no coach?
