Penn State Students Rioting!

Any and all respect I ever had for that place is now utterly gone. Those students are effing pathetic. Are they going to go riot when Sandusky is convicted too? Do they really care this little that all these little boys had their innocence robbed from them? Do they really not care that their beloved coach covered for, and harbored this molesting POS? Shame on you PSU. You are a disgrace to our conference, your state, and this country.
 
Paterno could have avoided this had he just resigned. Instead he tried to go out on his terms.

Paterno could have avoided this had he just did the right thing and wondered why the **** this sicko was still allowed on campus years after the initial reported incident.
 
Cut the holier than thou crap. Joe had to go because of how this all came down, but he is not Hitler or Sandusky, he was a good man whose lapse in judgment brought him down. It is a sad day for all concerned and the Penn State students are reacting the same way Iowa kids would if it was Hayden or Alabama kids would if it was Bear Bryant. There but for the grace of God would be a lot of us. The kids deserved better from Joe and a lot of other adults who let them down, but that doesn't turn Paterno into an evil man.

Hmm... Really? Holier than thou? You have got to be effing kidding me. We are not talking about scamming some money, or paying some players. We are talking about KNOWINGLY covering for, and harboring a pedophile. Sorry bro, but that is at the very least entry level evil. His inaction allowed innocent children to be molested. Exactly. He's acted selfishly, just as he has by staying on far too long as head coach. he's 84 for god sakes.

These are the students that camp out at the football stadium for entire weeks during the semester to get good seats for the game. You expect them to have proper perspective?

I would have the exact same opinions if this were at Iowa. I would be just as disgusted with our students if this had happened here.

I'm not judging the entire PSU fanbase by their student's actions tonight. IMO this would happen at any other major university, Iowa included, given the same situations and same people involved. It kind of reminds me of the night Osama bin Laden was killed and how the celebrations on college campuses around the country were largely scolded by other citizens. I disagree with the students. I just think they are being stupid college students.
