Penn State Preview/Prediction

I predict Talor Battle will have an insane game vs. Iowa (Cully and Lil Lick). I will be shocked if Battle finishes with less than 24 points.
 
I would like to think the Hawks have a chance in this one, however the game against Tenn St was not confidence inspiring. I'm finding it harder to find possible victories on their remaining schedule. I predict they keep it close, but with Gatens possibly not at 100%, they fall short in the end. PSU 64 Iowa 59

Mine wasn't though. I didn't say the Hawks would lose, I just said Battle would have a huge game against Iowa and he did. Thirty-one points and 7 rebounds, and Iowa's point guards couldn't stop him.
 
I will have to wait and see if the Big Ten replays the game after forgetting to set the DVR but from what I recall while at Carver, I think Eric May had a solid effort against him and even bodied him up for at least 2 or 3 really poor shots. Unfortunately, Battle was able to take advantage off a few ball screen switches and eventually had a quicker motor down the stretch when perhaps May was getting a bit more tired.
 
I said Iowa by 2, it was 3. That's not TurnipTruck excellence, but not bad either. Wouldn't you say, DeanMarshall?

Battle is a baller. You can't downplay a 31 points 7 rebound game. I wish Iowa had a Talor Battle. That's why I hope Chad is out on the east coast right now trying to hook the Hawkeyes up with one of those tough east coast point guards. I got my eyes on either Derrick Wilson or Tyrone Johnson, both rough and tough athletic east coast points. I also hope Iowa is going after George Marshall of Brooks Academy in Chicago cuz that kid is a ballin' *** PG too.
 
Spank has been close on most of his predictions this year. He did bad on his preseason picks - but he already admitted that he messed that up. Otherwise he's done good with his picks. Now that Iowa has got that 1 win in conference maybe those guys who wanted or predicted Iowa to go winless in conference will finally be quiet or maybe just stop posting. It's like these boards only attracted the mental people out there sometimes.

**Stormin--------By the way, I'm staying with my pronouncement of John Lickliter's reverse lay-up, in the Purdue game, as the bounce that Iowa basketball needed. We are now officially on the way back-up to the heights that fans remember.
