Penn State Players or Recruits

If I was giving advice it would be-

How are you going to showcase your skills to get to the next level when your college is going to be a circus?

People will want to talk more about off field topics than on field topics.

You lose the will to win when you are not playing for anything.

No bowl games = less time for stats.

Penn State will be the joke of college athletics....why be apart of it?

The upperclassmen would want to stay for the possibilty of going to the NFL. O'Brian gives them a great chance to get there. (what the experts are saying)

Penn State was playing good football last year until all this broke loose. Way too many other things going on to stay focused.

I agree with you about last season. But i think the guys that will be good enough to go pro will still get their stats and still be recognized.

They might be somewhat competitive this year if enough good upperclassmen stick it out, which I think they will. I'm sure they'll give Kurt and Co. a close game, if not an outright beating. Especially if they blitz El Bear Hunter.

After this season, though...yikes.

If I was an underclassman it would be a no brainer. Upperclassman would be tough(I would still be looking though).

I think younger players and current recruits will bolt, but I'd bet that many juniors and seniors stay. Whether that's enough to field a marginally decent team is debatable.

Say if all the key players stay. There is nobody to push them and compete. Plus all the other stuff...they are in trouble.

I know it's still very early in the game but a lot of players and recruits are saying they are staying put. It will be interesting to see as signing day gets closer what some do.

I think it's crazy to think that a ton of players are going to be able to find a school to transfer to in under a month. I think if any leave it will be after this season is over.

The link I read yesterday maybe 3 recruits said they were staying put. Others mostly said they're currently committed to PSU but exploring options. That doesn't sound like a lock solid commitment to me. Their #1 QB specifically said he wanted to play in bowl games.

Mike Farrell of rivals.com reported that Hackenberg informed him he wants to play in a bowl game, and said South Carolina and Auburn would top his list if he were to decommit from Penn State.

If they can find suitors they're gone.

Silas Redd to USC is picking up a lot of steam as well.
