Penn State coach Postgame video

He had good things to say about iowa ... I'm just not sure he's right.

Playing good road basketball? Maybe, in the sense that the Hawks went in and ALMOST got road wins against good teams. Obviously, that's not the criterion that this message board uses for "good road basketball."

I heard he is a Philly area guy like Fran so they might not be best buddies but I am sure they arent going to hurl crap at each other, lots of respect there probably.

Some say he's on the hot seat. I hope not. He seems like a good coach, and a good person.
Patrick Chambers Donates $14,200 to THON - Onward State

I don't think he could be on the hot seat in his first two years. Especially at a school that is trying to do the best thing publically at all times after the Sandusky fiasco. He also had his best players get injured the last two years. Now next year, with the returning players that he will have, if he has a losing record or doesn't make it to the dance, then I could see him on the hot seat.

It is only Chambers 2nd season, they have to give him at least 3-4 years.
Losing Frazier is a huge blow.
He is a good coach, and a solid recruiter.
He has at least one top 100 recruit signed for next year,to go with Frazier,Marshall,Newbill,Taylor,Graham,ect.....they will be much better next year, and the league will not be as good....look for them to win at least 5-6 games in the league next year.

Personally, not a fan of Chambers, but he took a job where nobody has ever won on a regular basis, PSU needs to take the same approach as NW with Carmody. If players graduate, compete and stay out of trouble then keep him around for a while.

There isn't a lot going for a program like PSU, but I don't buy in that the Sandusky thing affects them because they really haven't ever been good for a sustained time.

Losing Frazier hurts, but the idea that they would be far, far better is probably a stretch. Honestly, the best thing for PSU is to not have him, others have played well at times and Chambers needs to see that. Sometimes relying on players like PSU has done with Battle/Frazier it stunts the growth of others, keep in mind when PSU somehow made the tournament a few years ago they had three guys that could play, not just Battle.

PSU=basketball wasteland, kinda like Canadian TV.
