I don't have any insight into this, but I can't remember the last time we didn't play Penn St. under the lights

Didn't think of this until you said it but I believe it was 2011 at PSU. Mid-afternoon kick-off if I remember correctly.

'09, '10, '12, '16, '17, '18 were all at night and Iowa didn't play PSU in '13-'15.

Mostly correct except 2018 @PSU was a 2:30 CT start.

Wow, how did I miss that? Age is wreaking havoc on my memory. I guess it was dark when the game finished. But I stand corrected.

I’ve been to the last 3 black and gold striped night games at kinnick and they’ve been unforgettable. I get Chills when that stadium really rocks. Unfortunately last year was Wisconsin and the year before was penn state, both were heartbreaking losses.

The weather was also very gloomy, so that may have clouded things.
