Yep, not sure how much experience the new penn st qb has but Carroll seemed to have our number.

Psu is winnable but on the road will always be tough but at least no crowd

This is not the Penn State teams of old. Their defense looks lost. The DBs are playing so deep and not tackling. The other thing is that Penn State's running backs don't look like they have the burst like they always have. Based on what I have seen today...our D will be able to force them to throw to beat us.

On offense...it looks like we should be able to run the ball. You know Franklin will try to stack the LOS and force Petras to beat them. I still don't think they can stop the run.

PSU with 500 yards of offense (250 running and passing). NU with 300 (150 running and passing).

PSU actually was looking pretty good once they swapped out their QB. They fell way behind to Neb due to turnovers by their crappy QB. Once PSU got him out of the game, they played a lot better.

Don't under estimate PSU. IOWA is in for a tough game.

I agree. PSU is not to be overlooked. They went 20 points and ended up losing by a score to Nebraska. Granted Nebraska isn't a high caliber team but against Iowa, Penn State seems to compete pretty tough. It would be nice to get a win against these guys after all the disappointments

No easy win that I can see. Three of PSU's losses have been to BIG teams (OSU, IN, MD) currently carrying a cumulative 9-1 record. PSU has a stout run defense that is allowing 3.6 avg. per carry........MN by comparison is last in the league at 7.2 per carry. If PSU can stop our run game then we have to rely on Petras which is not ideal. Maybe not the PSU that we normally see but they're more than capable.

Clifford or the new other QB can run the qb option which seems to give Iowa fits sometimes. I am with you as I think the PSU lines are not top caliber but we shall see.
