pelini still coac at Nebraska

Sounds good to me, I dont think bo is that good of a coach. Maybe he will hire carl his brother back as Dee Coord when Carl gets out of jail or allowed to travel from his parole officer.

hahahaha luv it, I have no animosity toward the pelini boys but they are so obnoxious it is fun to make fun of them.

I hope this hurts their recruiting. I hope so solid nebraska kids follow Drew Ott over the Iowa city

It's the right decision, because no coach in their right mind would go to coach there.

However, that AD needs his head examined for letting these rumors flap in the wind like a flaccid penis.

It is a tough position at the moment. When you start getting a rep for firing coaches who win 8-10 games a year in a place out in the middle of no where, look out.

I actually think they could have a top notch defense next year. Toss in a good running game with Abdullah and a wide out like Bell and that is not too bad. They just need a decent QB.

The real issue that muddies the water is his antics and unprofessionalism.

Tough deal for them on what to do.

I'm glad he's staying. He makes NE look like a joke. Sure he's had some good season but they're going the wrong way IMO

They wouldn't fire him for not winning. They would fire him for being a total ******* and a terrible representative of the University.

This.

His antics overshadow the actual game and players.

On a side note...
KirFer now should have plenty of motivation to wanna curb stomp Bo/Nebby each year (Bo attempting to throw KirFer under the bus-what a doosh).

Actually, they would. I live here and about half the fan base us absolutely still convinced that anything less than winning championships is underachieving. Strangely, I like Bo even with the obviously temper issues. Based on what I've heard from people that actually know him, his public image is bad but the guy is as nice and sincere as can be. There are a ton of really great positive stories about him you will never hear in the national media. While I don't think he's an elite HC, His players absolutely love him and play very hard for him....I am as anti nebby as anyone on this board. He's a PR nightmare but the media here would drive anyone nuts.

Many of These same fans absolutely wanted Osborne gone before the mid 90's...

Most if my disdain is for the delusional and spoiled fan base.

Kind of what I was thinking.

3 10 win seasons
3 9 win seasons
1 8 win season

floundering......uh, ok.

i don't like the coach, i don't like his behavior, but i wouldn't say that nebraska has floundered under his tenure.

Yeah - 90% of teams in Amurica (ours included) would take that in a heartbeat. But it's Nebraska, so you get to deal with the sense of entitlement.

Bo is still a doosh, though.

I'm sorry must have missed what Pelini said? What did he say?

NCAAF An ugly final act for Pelini at Nebraska? - ESPN

Giant baby-esque rant throughout the entire presser, then tried to deflect it onto KirFer....

" “I’ve done a lot worse than that. I saw Kirk Ferentz over on the sideline acting a lot worse than I acted. I didn’t see a flag come out on him. The bottom line is, they knew they blew the call. They blew it. They blew that call over there, and everybody in the stadium knew it. They didn’t man up enough to pick that flag up.â€￾ "
