Pelini just called this our bowl game

What? It wasn't our Super Bowl this year? Do we have anything else to play for this season? Sorry that it hurts, but even a pr!ck like Pellini can be right once in a while.
 
KF has reduced the program to playing meaningless games for moral victories. This was our bowl game. KF used to win his bowl games - thats how he has survived this long.
 
It is our bowl game. He is absolutely correct in that.

I don't care if we win just one game a year for the rest of eternity, as long as the one win each year is against the blackskirts. F nebraska and everything they are and represent.
 
I don't think he meant any disrespect. It was our bowl game.

I live in Omaha so get more than my fill of nebby nation. I hate nebby....but...pelini isn't the reason.

We had them, and our offense couldn't get it done.....again. Could have made my weekend, dammmmittt!

One year. That's all we've been without a bowl. This year we had to play for moral victories, but just last year we played Oklahoma in a bowl. Lots of people act like this has happened every year when that's just not the case.
 
Why the hate? Your team played extremely tough today and showed heart on defense. My hats off to your performance.
 
Why the hate? Living in Omaha metro with all the Nazi'ish propaganda that is unmatched in any other city or fan base....and the arrogant a$$ hole fans that think they know football.
the turning point was at a college world series game and 3 fans sitting in front of me were arguing of whether or not eric crouch was pitching that day...not a joke. that really happened.

Worst Hawk team in 13 years...lot of frustration and justified angst...

I live in Omaha...what we are going thourgh many of your fans have no clue about. Nebby won five games this year by 6 points or less, good teams find ways to win, but the large majority of nebby fans find the Hawks inferior, even though the majority of the last decade we were as good or better, but since we've been playing you in conference we've been more like the hawks from the late 90s and early 2000s....and it pissssses me (us) off.

All of the above is why I have to cheer fcor Wisky to punish nebby next week....

Ok, fair enough. If I were to run into you in Omaha I would treat you with respect, as I do half of my office where I work. I guess every fan base has their a-holes, I just don't subscribe to that type of myopic views and vitriol hate. College football is a game played by young men. I respect your team and your fans but I can only speak for me, not the other "Nebby" fans you are speaking of.

If you have had bad experiences with the husker fanbase, then I am sorry. You would not get that treatment from me or anyone I tailgate with in Lincoln or anywhere I watch the game for that matter. If you want proof, PM me before the game next year and I will show you that there are good, well meaning and respectful fans in Nebraska...

No worries. Funny story, I had family from Wisconsin come to the game in Lincoln this year from the wife's side. We had very good seats as one of her uncles is in a wheelchair. When Becky had us down big, my "family" members were high five'en each other when outside the handicap section, this lady across the aisle comes over and starts in on them about being classy. She was pointing her finger at these 70+ year old men and griping about the way their fans treated Osborne last year in Madison. Once I came out of my shock coma, I told her to sit down and shut up and to stay classy. She then starts in on me. I ask her to sit down and show some class, she continues to gripe about me to her husband and friend for the rest of the game. I just laughed, the student section is right behind us, two students lean over and tell my family, "don't listen to that crap, that is not how we treat other fans". So, we do have some boneheads for sure, as does every fan base, we just all have to rise above them and treat each other better than that. It is ok to rib one another and a bit of smack talk is healthy. I hope that our game each year is both competitive and nationally relevant for both schools. Needless to say, the car ride back to Omaha with them was pretty quiet. :)

PS - I post on Huskermax under the same screen name and we treat opposing fans with respect on the site. I joined up here when we joined the B1G to hopefully meet some Hawkeye fans as we travel to games and host others when we play at home.
