Paige gets Kansas offer

I'm not blown away by what I've seen of Paige, but the 2011 class is supposed to be very short on high quality PG's and that must have something to do with his rating.

Then you've obviously never actually seen him play. The kid is ridiculous. Nice try.

It's official, Iowa should stop recruiting Paige. If the staff had that mindset then they wouldn't have been in the business of basketball as long as they have.
We as a fanbase need to be patient, Coach Fran has come into the program at a good time. Iowa doesn't have a good enough reputation to change everything in one or two years, it will take time. As long as Iowa is competitive and there is no mass exodous, Iowa will be fine and the way Coach Fran has shown the ability to develop players, in the end if we lose Paige all hope is not lost. Iowa hasn't had a lack of talent, it has been depth and togetherness. Look for that to change, I think the culture of Iowa b-ball is already changing judging from what I have read and saw during the offseason.

haha good stuff right there

I know most everyone hates Lick, but Marcus was in IC watching games when he was a freshman. Lick would have offered, style of play would have made it even less likely that Marcus would have picked Iowa. Our chances of getting him only exist if he grew up wanting to be a Hawkeye. If he is indifferent, then he will likely chose a more established program. I know, thank you again Mr. Obvious.

The kid could be a state hero instead he is just going to be another player at KU. Just like Raef L. He could still be the man here if he would have went to Iowa instead. And dont give me the better shot to play in the NBA crap. If he is good enough, he will make the league regardless of were they play college ball.

Forgive me, but Raef was not just another player at KU....3rd leading scorer and 2nd in rebounds in KU History!

Raef LaFrentz, a two-time consensus first-team All-American and Big 12 Player of the Year, is also the third-leading scorer in Kansas history. LaFrentz is one of three players in KU history to score 2,000 points, and his 1,186 career rebounds places him second all-time for the Jayhawks. Ranked among the top 10 in Jayhawk history for career field goals, field goal attempts, free throws, free throw attempts, field goal percentage and blocked shots, LaFrentz is the Kansas leader for career double-doubles at 56.
