Packers make the Playoffs

Packers haven't been able to run the ball all year, and yet here they are in the Super Bowl. If they can get Starks between 20-25 and between 60 and 70 yards, they'll be in good shape. They don't need to run the ball to be successful. That they're in this game is proof positive of that.

Rodgers was hardly at his best against Philly and Chicago, but the Packers went ahead and won anyway.

If Starks gets 20-25 carries regardless of yardage, Packers will win because it will mean they are controlling the clock.

The Steelers weak link on D is Mcfadden and Gay if guys like Nelson and Jennings have a big game it will mean these two are getting torched.

That's the idea, and that's essentially what the Packers have tried to do since Grant went down.

Still don't think Starks will be a factor......It will come down to Nelson, Driver and Jennings against the Steeler secondary if Mcfadden and Gay hold up the Steelers will win, if not, game on.

He doesn't need to be. He needs to get the ball around 20 times and pick up the blitz. Anything else is gravy.

Thats my point, I'll bet Starks doesn't get even 15 touches, it wouldn't shock me if Rogers has at least 50 passing attempts. The only significant rushing yardage the Packers will have will be because of Roger's feet.

I'll take that bet. McCarthy is stubborn.

Bulaga has done just fine this year; he stoned Peppers last week whenever he was lined up against him. Offensive line is one area of the field where the Packers hold a definite advantage.

We must have different opinions of just fine. I saw atleast 5-6 games where he didn't perform well(getting burned on the outside/penalties). However, he has done well this offseason.

If he doesn't get 15 touches we will not win the game.

If he is that stubborn then the Steelers will have their 7th Lombardi trophy.

Maybe. Ben can throw interceptions just as well as Cutler can, and the Steelers o-line has proven it can be had. There isn't any reason to think that will change, especially with Pouncey out.

The Steelers O-line has been an issue since '06, not even worried about that. Legursky isn't any worse than Hartwig was a couple of years ago.

This game falls on Aaron Rodgers and Aaron Rodgers only......Steelers can still win if Roethlisberger plays poorly, if rodgers goes out there and lays an egg, the packers are toast.

The Packers can't win unless Rodgers plays well. Thanks for that.

You'd be a lot better off if you just came out and said that you don't think the Packers have any chance.

C'mon dude, don't get all sensitive on me......I do think packers can win if they follow the patriots blueprint, attack the middle of the field with the short/intermediate passing game, throw it quick and throw it often. Rogers is more than capable of that.

Ease up, SR. TRJ is not flaming whatsoever, he's just presenting really solid points about what he thinks each team's strategy will/should be. He clearly knows what he's talking about.
You don't need to get salty here.

You can lighten up now most of the so called experts are picking the Packers, it is almost at a 2 to 1 clip now. The spread is still at 2.5 and hasn't moved to a -1 or a pick'em......If the Packers win you can come back to this thread and say I told you so.:)

and also...

Packers - 27
Steelers - 24

A close game, all game long.

I'm a Packers fan and I would never bet on this game. I'm not confident at all. I am just looking forward to watch what on paper looks like an excellent matchup.
