Pack the rain gear boys

@#$k. I'm taking my family down, with 41/2 yr old twin boys & don't really want to have to deal with that crap. Now I have to locate some ponchos for them.

I hear you ....they sell ponchos all over Melrose....they have predicted rain before and it has stayed away so let's hope it does again.

Im not happy either but you had to assume sooner or later we would have a home opener that was crappy. Since we started going to games again in 2008 the home openers have always been perfect. Guess luck ran out.

Chances are better for the afternoon. The atmosphere wont be unstable enough until then so hopefully it will hold off until after the game is over. I would still pack a poncho though just in case.

I am holding to my prediction that anything heavy will stay north. While there is indeed a 60% chance, that doesnt infer that the rainfall will occur immediatly in the Kinnick vicinity. If the cold front holds we will be fine.
