Over/Under On…

I agree that the NFL gig is harder and has more risk. But, they generally get paid more for it. College game is catching up. There seems to be a smidge more work life balance in college. The NFL seems like 60 hour weeks 51 weeks a year.
2024 top 20 NFL coach salaries totaled: $175.5 million

2024 top 20 NCAA HC salaries totaled: $176.3 million

The number 20 NFL coach salary is a three-way tie at $3.5 million a year.

The number 20 NCAA coach salary is Leipold at Kansas making $7.5 million a year.

The top NFL salary is $20 Million for Andy Reid

Top NCAA salary is $13.3 million for Kirby Smart.

NFL is weighted more heavily for like the top 3-4 guys like Andy Reid, etc, but there's definitely way more money to be made at an individual level in college ball.

Agreed. Total paper tiger. Nebbie was an incredibly flawed team and kicked their ass. They beat almost no one of note. And that OL was shit. If it was not for Shedure being a magician back there at times, they would have been Iowa on offense. You can't replace Shedure in a season. They are going to be worse next year and with a tougher schedule.

They are ranked because of Prime's fame and the guy who is gonna win the Heisman. THat's it.
I'm so torn on the Heisman and who I see as the frontrunner. I honestly think Jaenty is more deserving, but Hunter is phenomenal. Hunter is a special player and one of the top 5 in the nation at his positions on both side of the ball, however Jaenty has had a historical season and has placed himself among the all-time greats as one of the best performances of all time, while winning a conference title and a a playoff birth. While neither team played murder's row of a schedule, Jaenty absolutely went off against Oregon so it's hard to say those numbers were the product of a weaker schedule. I'm leaning toward toward Jaenty, but only because of my hatred Deion and all things Colorado, and while I think Hunter is an absolute beast he's guilty by association LOL.

Jaenty has had an amazing year. Most years he probably wins it. But Hunter is a generational talent. What he has done is unprecedented in modern times. He is not an All-American defender who goes in for gimmick offensive and special team plays. He is a full time starter on both sides of the ball and he is a game changer on both sides of the ball.

Plus, the Heisman always goes to a QB, and when it doesn't, it goes to a RB. Let's give it to a different position when we can and should.

I guess I’ll be the odd one out and say I think he finds a lot of success, assuming he stays for more than one season. He’s going to draw players, and run the team like a pro team, because that’s what college is now. He has Mike Lombardi as his GM. They are going to be way ahead of the curve in “free agency.” He’s the greatest defensive coach of all time. People throw shade because he had Brady, and that’s totally fair, but Brady doesn’t have seven rings without Bill putting together incredible defenses on the backs of budget players. Every “great” coach had a great QB. Bill was better with a great QB than all the others. Only one with a chance to come out on his level is Reid, and he’s fat and old. I mean, hell, compare Dungy with Manning to Bill with Brady. Brady is the GOAT, but I genuinely don’t believe he’d be seen as the GOAT if he hadn’t spent twenty years with Bill. It’s not like Brady put the team on his back in their SB appearances. Other than the 28-3 comeback, his only really otherworldly SB performance he lost to a backup QB, not to mention being ass against Eli Manning twice.

I’m really interested to see how his staff shakes up. I think there’s nonzero chance BF gets the call to coach OL.

I get the arguments for Hunter and as I said I mean absolutely no disrespect, he's a hell of a player and deserved the award. Even as top 10 (possibly top 5) at both positions I still question that his season was better then Jeanty's or that he was more deserving. There's no "wrong" choice either way.

I understand that there's more to it then strictly numbers and what Hunter put up on both sides of the ball is very impressive. That said, I think the single biggest statistic that makes me think that Jaenty was snubbed, and in my mind blows Hunters stats out of the water, is the YAC. We can talk about Hunter's numbers all we want, but none of them led any category statistically. While Jaenty had over 1800 yards after contact. To put that into perspective that's more YAC then any player in the county had in total rushing yards.

As I said Hunter deserved it. As you stated he's a generational talent. However, in my opinion Jaenty put together one of the greatest rushing season in the history and i think he got snubbed.
