Over/Under NIT Attendance

9k is where i thought we could be with students. spring break will have a huge impact on the attendance. The last time we played an NIT game during spring break we drew less than 3k.

The 2003 NIT game would have also been the year the Pierce sat out with his "redshirt" and the year the fanbase became divided because of the Pierce situation. Couple that with back to back NIT berths and I think that would explain the low attendance more than the students being on spring break.

Seriously. I was thinking it might be hard to get tickets. This thread has made my day. I will be traveling from Des Moines and taking my wife to the game for her birthday. Super stoked. So excited for Matt Gatens and the Hawks!!!!!

I was at the Penn State game, it was the loudest crowd for the longest time I remember at Carver. It was two days before I could talk and Carver was packed...

Gotta draw a line at some point. First postseason action this program has seen in 6 years. If the students cant get excited about that and dish out 5 bucks then I dont feel bad for them if they dont go.

I'm on mobile but will say over 7k will be there. I know a good amount of people going and it seems everyone who has paid any attention to this team is extremely excited for more basketball. I wouldnt be surprised to see a very good crowd, even without students.

Same here I was there Loudest I've ever heard Carver. I remember Iowa was down like 10 pts with 3 min left to play, Iowa tied it up then PSU made a 3 with little time left.
