Outdoor club seats in Kinnick

Anyone have one or know somebody who does? Or has anyone even sat in one before? I have been fortunate enough to sit in the indoor club seats one time, and it was awesome. I'm just curious how the outdoor ones work. Do you buy an individual seat, or do you buy the whole section? If it's an individual seat, how much does it cost? I'm thinking long term here, but someday I'd love to have one of the outdoor club seats if available.

My buddy has two on the fitty right in front of the TV cameras (well, one's on the fitty, the other's on the 49 and a half). He told me they are $4600 a year for two seats and you have to sign a three year commitment. He upped it to $5k to get a KC pass. All in all, it's a good deal. They serve beer up there but you can't take it outside and they cut it off in the third quarter. Bathroom lines are MUCH better.

Me and Happy Chef have thought about moving up there, but it's a little too hoity toity and you have to ride a packed elevator up, plus our seats get the same overhang and we can stand all game where we are.

Thanks. I wonder what the cheapest outdoor seat costs? Any idea? Maybe if they were $1000-1200 a seat that would be doable someday. Also any idea if they will be re-seating Kinnick anytime soon? When they first did the new seating they said they would reseat in 5 years, but I haven't heard of any talk about that lately, so maybe they won't be doing that afterall.

They reseated the club level after 2007 or 2008, IIRC and I think it is scheduled again either after this year or 2011 (good luck with that if the Hawks are good this year and next year). When we looked into it, I think it was $1700 per seat per year for seats on the goal line. We didn't think it was worth it since we can buy 4 on the 30 for a little less than we could buy two on the goal line.

You don't get your own elevator? Pathetic.

I like the outdoor club seats better than being in a box. But I still think being in the stands is the best. The outdoor clubs...you are outside but it's not quite the same as being in the crowd. The bathroom situation is great but for me anyway, it's not worth the money. May change my mind someday...but not today.

I agree with you Smart. I've been in the suites a few times and while they're nice, the fans I was with weren't there to watch the game and being behind the glass took away the feel of being at a college football game. I didn't feel like I was going to high five or chest bump anyone while I was in there. If I could afford my own they would likely kick my group out for being to unruly.

I have sat in both the indoor and outdoor club seats. The outdoor club seats are the way to go by far, the indoor club seats are like watching the game on a huge TV, it is pretty easy to miss a play because it's such a sterile environment and you can't hear the sounds of the game very well even with the window open.

The outdoor club seats are just like sitting in the stands other then shorter lines to the crapper and you can buy beer, plus if you need a break from the weather you can just head inside and watch a few plays trough the glass to warm up.

I've sat in the suites before and enjoyed it. TV for Replay's, Beer, and we open the windows to get the crowd noise...And everytime I've gone I'd say 90% of the people are watching the whole game.

I'm sure the club seats are great. I prefer to be in the 9th row, where I can hear the brutal hits by AC. :)
