Outdoor Club Seats at Kinnick

Anyone ever sat in the outdoor press box club seats at Kinnick? Best seats in the house? Can you see the action pretty well?

I might have the opportunity to score a couple of these for this weekend's game, but I was hoping someone could give me some insight as to whether getting a general admission ticket would be a better experience.

Thanks!

Ive never sat there but I always look up and want to...I would take that opportunity no matter what people say...

I've had the good fortune to sit up there for last years Penn St. game and this years Ark St. game and the seats are phenomenal.
You have the best of both worlds....you can sit outside and be a part of the crowd but also go inside to warm up if needed. Restrooms are very convenient.

I got to tour some of the indoor club seats and all though very nice, they are separated from the game atmosphere by glass and IMO, you don't get the "feel" of the game.

I hope you get the chance to use the outdoor club seats. Oh, did I mention they sell beer until the 3rd qtr! You can't take it outside with you, but what the heck.

Wait, so the seats are outside, but you don't have to sit out there if you didn't want to? You could stay inside and drink? Well, I guess you have to stay inside to drink.

Correct, there is a counter with stools that runs the whole length of the field for the gals to sit and watch the game when it is cold. They sell Zinfandel up there, but no Zima.

The best thing is the lack of bathroom line. It is really quick in and out and you don't have to rub elbows with the unwershed masses.

The second best thing is that the seats are actual seats, not a piece of aluminum slab that is way too small to fit the average large-boned Iowan.

Take them if you can get them. I have sat in the seats once and when I have a few other obligations taken care of in my life - that's a goal of mine - to own two seats up there.

I was able to snag them. Are they usually the same price as regular tickets, except that to get them you have to donate a heftier sum? For some reason I was thinking that these couldn't be the same price as a seat with the general admission folks.

**Edit - Oh yeah, and I'm way pumped!!!

I've never sat in the outside ones but i've sat in the ones up a level that are inside and they are amazing.

Well I haven't sat out in those seats, but I did get to sit in President Mason's box last year and if the view is similar I would prefer sitting down where I normally sit. The view is nice up there and you can see everything, but I prefer to be a bit closer to the action (and if you are in a box it is weird not being able to hear the crowd noise). If the tickets arent too expensive I would get them, but I wouldnt pay a large premium for those seats.

Ageed,

I was up in an indoor box a couple of years ago, it's nice but can't get the feel of the game very well since it's tough to hear the crowd. You can also miss a play pretty easy if you are talking to someone. At half time we went down to the outdoor club seat level to get a couple of beverages. A family friend has outdoor club seat season tickets so I went over to talk to them and they said that there were open seats next to them so we sat out there for the second half.

By far the best seats in Kinnick, I agree that you get the best of both worlds, you feel more part of the game being outside but can still see the game inside if it's too cold.
