Outbackbowl.com VOTE for Iowa

Iowa vs South Carolina has my vote.

Same here. Good matchup that we would have a shot of winning (but SC would still be favored, I'd have to think). Also, good fans down in Columbia. They are a lot like Iowa fans. I live in the SE and haven't met too many obnoxious Gamecock fans. Many of them seem to cheer for Iowa when SC is not involved.

I hope we get A&M...nothing would make my year more than watching our trio of LB's plant "Johnny Football" into the Tampa turf.

I saw an SEC bowl projection on some site. It ijncluded a little narrative next to the prediction. It showed Iowa-USC. Then said that given that Nebraksa lost to Iowa it "takes some luster off of this match up".

Ya just can't have those bad seasons (4-8) and maintain credibility among fans and writers because they don't watch the games.

Honestly you can say the same thing about South Carolina as they are not a big name in college football either. But I want the matchup because they have nice trolls and some of them post nice pictures of their attractive fan base. Plus it should be a good game and I could care less if the rest of the country watches it or not.

I will be fine with Iowa in the Outback vs USC, LSU or A& M......LSU just lost their stud QB for the season, and a frosh will be stepping in....a talented frosh, but inexperienced. ..so LSU just moved up my pecking order...they are a fun bunch to party with and we have history of beating them...

A & M would draw huge numbers of eyeballs since Johnny is so much fun to watch. But his last two games have been average, and we would have a month to draw it up. I thought we got very aggressive vs Nebby and the same packages could work against Jonny...especially Raider...and we can run all day vs their defense.

Shut yo' mouf!
That would NOT be a good thing for me as my best friend is an LSU fan...If we lost...we'll I'd never hear the end of it.

i see you and raise you three. Wife and three brother in laws all LSU fans. They don't talk much about the Capital One Bowl game for some reason............ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!! The LSU fans sitting in front of us at that game had to eat crow on the last play. After they scored to take the lead against Iowa the father turned around and said to me and my sons who were wearing Iowa jackets......... "Hey thanks for making it fun." Of course not...... We Iowa fans have more class than that. However after they walked away I was rolling in the isle laughing my a$$ off. Hot dog $6, large coke $4.50, LSU fan walking away looking like he got kicked in the nuts..........PRICELESS!!!!

Regardless of what SEC team we would play, in the event we won it would be nothing but "______ (insert SEC team) just couldn't get pumped up to play Iowa in a bowl game that they felt was below them and in no way shape or form would Iowa be able to beat them when it mattered". Or something to that extent.

Win or lose that fan base is so delusional that regardless of their performance they still come away with bigger heads and the belief that no one is worthy of even stepping on the field with them.

Against Iowa. Should be a good game. Plus we can show those yankees what the SEC is all about.

Well the last time we played in Capital One bowl and it was a knock down drag out slugfest. I think there was a lot of mutual respect in that game.

Iowa does not have much more than an average offense. However the D is very good this year. I think LSU is under rated and we'd have all we wanted with the Tigers.

Would love to see Michigan-LSU.

Miles would take it way too easy on the wolverines. I foresee me yelling at the tv in this matchup.

Wisconsin is a horrible matchup for LSU fwiw.

With Mett out, Cotton might prefer USC.
Outback at least would be a different destination and with LSU ahead of UGA and Fla out this year it might be LSU's only shot at Outback.

LSU would likely play Iowa, hopefully not Wisconsin.

If tOSU loses to Michigan State they'll take tOSU. If Michigan State loses I have to think they'll probably still take Michigan State with 2 losses to play the ASU/Stanford winner.
This is what I thought yesterday morning until all the talk of MSU dropping out of the top 14 was being discussed.

If MSU does drop out of the top 14, they'll get the Capital One which does send Wisconsin to Outback. If MSU stays in the top 14 , they'll get the Rose Bowl.

If MSU gets BCS and Auburn wins SECCG:
Capital One - Wisconsin vs. SC
Cotton - Big 12 vs. Missouri
Outback - Iowa vs. LSU

If MSU gets BCS and Missouri wins SECCG:
Capital One - Wisconsin vs. Auburn
Cotton - Big 12 vs. LSU
Outback - Iowa vs. SC

^^^But if Capital One takes SECCG loser regardless which team it is, LSU could get the Cotton unless the Outback really doesn't want SC and a deal is made to switch West and East for Cotton/Outback.

Now if MSU drops out of top 14 and gets Capital One, that sends Wisconsin to Outback. So pending whether Auburn or Missouri is available to Capital One (they could still take whichever is available), Wisconsin being in the Outback could mean Cotton or Gator for LSU to avoid that matchup. And I don't see Chick Fil A taking us back to back.

Gator vs. Michigan possibly?

I'd love a rematch with Iowa, can't stand their fans. Ugliest fanbase i've ever seen.

Sorry to hear that. We're not all bad. Like any fanbase, the snapper heads are out there.

Good luck in your bowl, unless of course Its against the Hawks

I actually had a good time at that CapOne bowl, other than the result and learning on the way out of the stadium that we had hired Coach Miles. I've overcome the latter disappointment and come to appreciate him (most of the time).

But we were on the edge of the Iowa student section and I was there with my whole family (three then young kids, wife and mother-in-law). I had a great time jawing with the Iowa fans and we both did some pointing at the scoreboard at various points. I was as gracious as I could be for having been stunned on the last play.

But my kids and wife still tell everyone this was the game I got into a fight with a whole bunch of Iowa students and Herky the Hawk mascot had to come to my rescue. Not the way I remember it, but that's their story.

I recall some interesting juxtapositions of tailgates in the parking lots--"what is that you're cooking?" and such.

Would be happy to play Iowa again.

AGGIES don't expect Tampa at all so no comments.

USC no longer anticipates Tampa so not much from them since Monday.

UGA antipates Jacksonville Gator TaxSlayer.

I can see why none of them really want to play Iowa in the Outback. We are only 8-4 ,with the bad rap on our scheme(boring). We have a good defense which makes Iowa dangerous. Nothing to gain for these SEC teams, but definitely could lose the game....ouch. Which is exactly why I want one of these teams in this order: A & M, LSU, USC. Bring on Jon Pigskin.

We bottled up Jordan Lynch nicely and he is better than J. Football, so I think we would pound A&M.
