Assuming the are out for a while, and Mitchell 8s gone as well...

CJ, the WR and TES will need to carry more weight.

It would be nice if we can keep Canzeri under 20 carries.

Davis needs to get a good plan, I still am not confident in him.

We went from much improved RB depth and just like that, bam, we lose 2.

Get it done boys.

Wadley needs to play some and you cant worry about him fumbling.

If there is no LD and there is certainly on DMX then Canzeri starts and Wadley should be first backup.

Parker knows the plays also in an emergency and then there are a couple newer backs.

If we get lucky and Wadely holds onto the ball, we will still be in pretty good shape. I actually wouldn't be surprised if he averages more ypc than Danials.

Wadley will be forced into action, unless we have another Fullback in the wings scenario :)

I like the fact Wadley will be "forced in" in this scenario. I think we could be in for a treat if he rises to the challenge. If this kid holds onto the damn ball, he might be the best back on the team. A potent perimeter running attack will also open up the inside and the passing game. If our fullbacks keep firing on all cylinders, Wadley becomes a home run threat. I hope Doyle has him doing 300 dumb bell curls every night...or makes him take the ball to class like in the movie The Program.

"We're not going to rule either one of them out" (for Pitt game). "Got decent news yesterday."

Daniels is over 5 ypc you are telling me wadley does better than that? I'm not saying he's a bad player I would never say that about our guys Iowa has the best of the best :) but cmon!

You cant worry about him fumbling ? Really ?

Over the course of the season? No. But if he could have played over the first 5 quarters of the season, maybe.

Just to clarify, I'm not suggesting Wadley is a better choice to be the starter. I'm just saying that with his skill set, it's possible that he could have a better ypc stat then Danials. And again, that doesn't mean that think he will be better than the stat that Danials racked up against crappy compitition.

Actually, more fullback might be what is needed. I just had a wild thought after reading your post. If Daniels can't go and Jordan is getting a little too beat on for comfort, maybe we throw both FBs in the I formation for short yardage. I am thinking 3 yards or less. It could save Jordan some wear and tear.

I actually think Wadley is our best pure running back. You know, minus the butter fingers.

I could be wrong, but he gets very few touches yet manages to fumble the ball in each game he gets touches. Is that an accurate statement? If he fumbles in very limited opportunities what would you expect when he gets more touches?
