I was casually watching some of the Dallas NE game and saw both of those tripping calls. Now keep in mind I read today that through 12 weeks of the season there had only been 10 tripping calls called all year. Both of these calls look like they resulted from a defensive linemen bull rushing a blocker who gets knocked a little off balance and one of the blocker's legs comes up a bit. There was none of the blatant, stick your leg out, leg whip the rusher. It is really weird.
Would you call tripping when a blockers leg comes up off the ground a bit while he is getting pushed backwards?
How would you feel if the Hawks got called for something like that late in a game when they were driving?
PS. I read Tom Brady was complaining the officials are biased against NE. haha
Disclaimer: I used to be a huge cowboy fan but not too much now because of Jerry Jones Circus the last 20 years.
