I am just curious on this subject - does Tubby Smith get any credit/heat for this happening? Or, should he get any credit/heat for recruting this player? I know Minnesota is not in the same situation as Iowa, and the player does seem to be a bit undecided (to say the least), but I thought I would ask. I know that when players leave a program (if he really does) a lot of people think it is all on the coach who should have seen this coming or did something to have the kid stay.

Personally, I don't think Tubby could have done anything to make this situation work out better for his team and program.

The only thing that's on Tubby is recruiting him in the first place. Then again if he doesn't, he'd get roasted.

Royce was worth the character risks that were involved. I wouldn't put any of this on Tubby.

It is unfortunate that the Minneapolis police are being irresponsible. I imagine the police, out of the blue, just decided to go bust one of Minnesota's bb players for theft, and White just happened to be that player. He was probably just chillin' with some friends and the police just randomly said, "I'll bet it is probably one of the Minnesota bb players that stole the laptops, so lets go arrest one of them." The police then just randomly selected White who just happened to be at the dorm at the time. But while they were cuffing White, the police planted a couple of laptops when no one was looking...

Those irresponsible police ruining this young man's career...
