He is a starter and shot 39.8% from 3pt line to lead the Spartans, so it is kind of a big deal to have to replace him.
Allen averaged about 8.2 points a game, but had some big games after Lucas was hurt. I think anytime you have a veteran group returning like MSU and a player is gone for any reason, it can be a big deal.

Also, I realize Allen had some issues and didn't play down the stretch for MSU, but he was still a big part of the success that team had throughout the season.

I remember when Izzo inked those three top 50 guards...Lucas,Allen and Summers.
He actually got a lot of mileage out of that crew,til now,anyway. They were the perfect college recruits for a good program...rated from 30-45,not the kind that leave early,but very talented. So Izzo will get 11 years of play outta that threesome...not bad at all,but it does dent their depth a bit this year.

They have that guard out of Detroit coming in,Appling?,so they should be ok. Lucas,Summers,Luscious, and Appling is a good start.

Did Allen graduate? Rumor was he was going to graduate this summer, making him immediately eligible for another school, would make him very, very attractive this late in the game.
