Try using the Adblock app (it's free) and see if that helps. That's what I use on my iPhone and I don't get any pop up ads.

i get the same thing only on this site with the 'free iphone' - causes me to have to close out the page - and then not go back - because it is pretty frustrating. Thought maybe my phone had a virus, if that is even possible. glad i'm not the only one, i guess.
