OT: Good time for retro sports replays; what are you watching

I have seen a lot of MLB, NFL, NHL, etc replays being played like most of you have. Been very tempted to watch some but haven't except for some hawk FBall You Tube replays.

You Tube presented me with an Indy 500 highlight video and I love that open wheel racing so about 2-3 weeks ago I started watching selected highlights of Indy 500s starting with 1963. Amazing racing, amazing to watch the cars and tech change.

I look up each race in wikipedia to find out where the action occurred and go to those sections of the video (I am not watching a full 3 hours of a race).

I need to watch some good old NHL playoff games too during rainy, steamy summer days.

Any of you seen some really good highlight games, etc. PS there is a highlight reel of Ihmir Smith-Marsette on You Tube with 10 minutes of great plays, he is something else especially when you watch play after play.

The other day I watched my recording of the 2019 Iowa/Nebraska game. Man we're going to miss Eppy...

My kids and I were not watching a ton of games yet when this game was broadcast but I was watching it. Awesome game. I and family were at a cub cards game in 1998 I think when McQwire and Sosa had the race. We saw 13 homers hit in a 11 or 12 inning game, and McQwire and Sosa each hit one.

Not a replay, but a new doc on this famous game ...

Cubs really had to have that game, and have it end as soon as possible. Their bullpen was fried, Owen was their last position player. They were able to survive and it catapulted Sandberg's MVP season. The next day Sutcliffe pitched a much needed complete game which catapulted his Cy Young season.

For you Joe West fans out there, he is umpiring first base that day. This was 36 years ago and he had already been in the league the better part of a decade when this game was played. Love him or not, that guy has got to have some stories.

Sandberg by the way has told the story of not knowing if he would be able to play that day. The grind of the season was catching up to him and he had let Sutcliffe, Gary Woods, Keith Moreland and Jody Davis talk him into going to the Alabama concert the night before. He came very close to asking his manager for a day off. The Cardinals wish he had gotten one.
