OT: Former Husker Lawrence Phillips suspected of killing his cellmate

I heard his cellmate got shanked, but he won't get convicted because they can't find the weapon. My guess is that Tom Osborne is hiding that, too.
 
Thanks Lawrence. One less criminal that would one day be released from prison and commit more crimes.

I'm sure that those who are mad jelly of Mr. Davis will ignore the facts, but listening to that radio interview and seeing how everything turn out with LP, the intelligent person can say that Mr. Davis was 100% justified and correct in his handling of LP back in 95. The way LP's life has turned out just proves that.

It's not at all surprising that everyone who criticized his handling of this situation had little real knowledge of what happened.

Agreed. Half of the doorknobs bashing Mr. Davis previously in this thread probably weren't even born when all of that was going down.

I really don't know if the dorm room is still used. It happened 3 years after I left IC. Hall wasn't part of the football team at the time of the murder so it really didn't affect the athletic department. The football program was in shambles in 1973. Ray Nagel was let go by Evashevski in 1970. Most of the black members of the football team boycotted during the 1970 time frame. Lauterbuer was brought in and he failed. Enter Bob Commings and things stabilized. Things were not improving by 1978 and enter Hayden Fry.

If you were born after 1975 you really do not understand how bad things were. I know people are all over Kirk for a 7 and 6 season, but that would have been a positive in 1972.

I know one of the previous posters that lived in Lincoln and had a good friend that was a trainer for the FB team and knows how dirty Tommy O and his gang really was. Or you could google "Tyrone Williams Kevin Steele Tom Osborne hid .22 caliber revolver" and read about it for yourself.
