OT: Cubs lead 4-0 in 5th inning

I wanted the Cubs to win this and move on with St. Louis....as a die-hard Cards fan who lives among many a Cubs fans, I want them to play head-to-head so I don't have to listen all winter to them whining "what if" "we could have"...etc.

Nut/sack up Cubs....the 100-win Cards are waiting.

What a little ***** Arrieta is. He plunks two pirates and then gets his panties in a bunch when he gets hit in the butt? Gimme a break tuff guy

I'm enjoying all the "diehard" Cubs fans coming out of the woodwork though. Not sure where they've been the past 6 years

They couldn't touch Arrieta, so they tried to rattle him by beaming him. Then you got some tough guy in the Pirates dugout beating up defenseless coolers. I mean stop the violence man.

Haha someone is in a bad mood tonight. Arrieta's pitches were pretty obviously unintentional. He had no reason to hit them. Pitches get away from pitchers sometimes. It happens. Hitting the other team's ace when there was no intent from that ace in the first place is kind of pathetic. I'd be ticked off too if I was Arrieta. And honestly I'd take Arrieta and Schwarber in a fight over any Pirates players.

The bucs were doing their best cardinal imitation.
Being lil b****s.

And for the record and the clueless Ferguson defender, above.......
I'm not a Cubs fan. I just disdain the cardinal crap

Watching baseball is like watching soccer. BORING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't know how any sports fan could watch that game last night and think it was boring. I guess because I'm a lifelong Cubs fan, I found it to be very intense and entertaining :)

It was a great watch regardless of the level you like baseball. My wife doesn't care for sports and she watched last night. Can only imagine how much more intense the Cubs Cards series will be.

I'd also put it right there with watching golf. Whenever I need a good nap. Recliner + golf on tv = ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

This. Mopkins doesn't have a clue if he thinks Arrieta was head hunting earlier in the game. Just a couple pitches that got away from him. The first was heat that ran in high and tight, and grazed the batter's hand. The second was a breaking ball that got away. NEWS FLASH: If you're going to bean someone intentionally, you don't do it with a breaking ball.

When Arrieta was hit, that clearly was intentional. Maybe Arrieta could've just gone to first without saying anything, but I don't blame him for talking some.
