I wish but not likely. They started 6-4 (same as their current record) in the 2012-2013 season and went 12-6 in conference play. In the BTT they beat #6 Michigan and #3 Indiana before losing to #10 Ohio State in the championship game. Ryan has proven his teams get better as the year progresses...unfortunately.

In '12 Wisky lost to #10 Florida, #14 Creighton, Virginia, and Marquette. This year they lost to Georgetown, a Good Oklahoma team......then lost to a directional Ill. Team that we waxed by 40 Pts and Miwaukee.
I think they will get better as the season goes along, but I said at the beginning of the year and still believe they are not a top 4 B1G team.

That shot clock change is killing them this year. that's the one change they did not want with their style.

For sure, that and the fact that they can't have two hands on the ball handler at all times, or they can't grab and hold cutters as well.

I hope they're awful. I don't like Ryan or Wisconsin. But I've been wrong too many times to write them off this early. Also, I quoted a comment suggesting they would be in the "lower tier." I don't consider 5th to be the lower tier. I agree with you that they won't finish in the top 4.

And then he starts to take off on the quickest dribble you've ever seen. I fire a baseball pass to half court that beats it by 30 feet. And I said, "Well, did you learn anything? A pass gets there quicker than a dribble."
So we're always practicing what you just said. We'll work around that and then, pressure-wise, you know, teams with depth, teams with experienced depth, maybe they can do that. There's been people who have tried to press in the Big Ten before, and some have been successful and some have struggled with it. I'm not sure what the other people are going to do but we'll be ready for both.
