OSU's Day's fake punt call, wow. And adjustments

Now that was gutty. That could have been the game early on and yes it worked but the bucks fumbled later yet flipped the field. Some coaches just have the balls and they know their stars and team might not be playing their greatest so they need to fire them up and try something.

And one of the analysts on BTN's Final Drive said it best that Paul Chryst was playing on offense to win the game.

Listen I like Wisky way more than OSU and their past problems but give the current OSU coaches some credit. Wisky played a great first half. But it looked like OSU made the defensive adjustment to attack even more, get into the Wisky backfield and cause havoc, tackle for losses, but most importantly pressure and get Coan off his game.

And on offense OSU did some things to give better protection and time to Fields in the passing game and they did some things to open up the Dobbins run game.

Remember the two top Wisky defenders who hit each other in the helmets, I think one was Orr, and both had to go out of the game. Does anyone know if they came back into the game and played the remainder of time as I thought that might have been pivotal?

I'm pretty sure Orr was out the rest of the game. Ohio St also took away the quick slant that Coan has been living off the entire season. Without that play Wisconsin's offense, particularly Coan struggled. The only other teams that have done a decent job taking that away from them are NW & Iowa.

Whisky gonna hurt when Taylor hits the draft.

I wonder...

1) if Taylor will actually go for the next draft. The guy could be looking at historical career totals, possibly over 8000 rushing yards (!)

2) how much they will actually be hurt if Taylor DOES go. They certainly seem to manufacture ground-chewing RBs in Madison.

Taylor would be nuts not to go pro. Short lifespan and look at Shaquon Barkley who has dropped off some and the NY fans are getting moody about him from a few headlines I saw.

Was good to see Wisky have a fake punt go against them.

Ha, good one as I didnt see it that way. too bad fields fumbled to end that drive.

Man the end of that first half just goes to show what a home run hitting running back and run game can do for you. Forty seconds to go, hand off, bust a 40+ yarder on a low risk play and boom TD a few plays later.
