If the Phillies don't get any offense they are gonna win anything. Then again, they could probably win 2-1 for 80% of the season cuz of that ridiculous pitching staff.

I'm a Cubs fan too. Not many people picking them this year. I think that have the right guy managing the team this year. Maybe a couple of their
alleged "big guns" can step up and they can sneak into the playoff....only to be humilated in the first round of course.

National league wins the World Series again this year. And no, it won't be the Phillies. The Braves will be the surprise team of baseball this year and win it all...

The Cubs don't want Pujols. Hendry doesn't need to sink even more of this teams payroll into 1 more player. They still have a few huge contracts that are handcuffing them right now, and I don't think a 10 year/$300 million contract is something they need to mess with.
Anyhow, here is how I see this season shaping up. (Remember, this is just one guy's opinion):
NL East: Braves
NL Central: Reds
NL West: Giants
AL East: Red Sox
AL Central: Twins
AL West: Rangers
NL WC: Phillies
AL WC: Yankees
World Series: Red Sox over Giants

Great first couple days: Cards lose, Pujols goes 0-5 with 3 DPs, Holliday out indefinitely, and my fantasy team is down 8-0. Doesn't get much worse. At least the Cubs are losing.
Just about the best opening day in a long time for Sox fans:
Sox win.
Twins lose
Tigers lose- yesterday
KC loses- yesterday
Cubs lose
Bulls win
Blackhawks win
Bears did not lose.
Just about sports nirvana for a Sox fan...for one day anyway!
