It would be really helpful if one of them could play this season. Jaleel especially would be nice as we are really lacking size in the middle and having someone there to just plug his gap would keep an extra blocker off the LB's.

This truly scares me, considering the frequency with which Kurt opts to punt. Without a strong punter, Kurt's conservative "play not to lose" strategy will fail with frightening regularity.

Just playing devil’s advocate, because I sure don’t anyone to have a misconception of the facts….

Last year Iowa punted 53 times which would have placed them 9th in the league....tOSU lead with 93…

In 2010 it was 55 times which would have placed them 7th, including Nebbie which is now including in our composites stats on Yahoo for what its worth....

7th again in 2009 with 61 and 10th in 2008 with 50, so again this is a perception thing. Iowa has been pretty consistent over the years and we have done a lot things apparently different than our fans remember.

No doubt, but not low enuff that it doesn't change the fact that our punting stats are way, way, way down the list nationally. That’s all we really need to know...and PC you’re a good cat, but you and I have been here before…it’s just more evidence that people rarely see what really happened with any realism or perspective…
