I can't wait for somebody to redo one shining moment this year, cut out Hudson, and put Luther back in on YouTube.

I agree that it was pretty aweful last night. Spank, thanks for posting. I loved seeing the Iowa tuba section in the intro. I guess I don't care what the One Shining Moment looks like in the future as long as there are some Iowa highlights in there once again.

The only difference is that in this year's clip, they actually showed Jennifer Hudson singing several times, taking away maybe 10-15 seconds of clips they could have shown.

Other than that, it's just a tournament highlight reel played to an ultra-cheesy song. How much different can it really be? I never found the original version to be that outstanding - it just became something they did every year to mark an official end to the tournament.

Maybe they should get Metallica to sing it next year

Amen Spank! Hudson could not hit the high notes by singing, she had to scream them. Plus the highlights were poorly coordinated to the song. Couldn't understand a word she was trying to sing.

I couldn't agree with this more. Bring back the original version, from before Luther. With the downward trend CBS is doing with it now, Carl Lewis will be singing it next year. Uh oh!
