I would agree with that. But we are a long long way from that happening. I still think that if Barta does fire Lick, he should have help in hiring the next coach. Bring in Lute, Mr. Davis and others who have had an impact on Iowa basketball over the years and let them have their opinions heard.

BJ Armstrong. If he was on the committee or whatever it was that hired Lickliter, then he needs to be fired, because BJ Armstrong is clearly a bad evaluator of talent.

I asked earlier if Barta was the guy that hired Brands, as I didn't know if that was his first hire or Bowlsby's last. The answer I got implied that it was Barta that hired Brands. Is that not the case?

Do you have some sort of link or info that the rest of us are not privy to? I have heard of no heat ( official or otherwise ) on Barta what so ever.

ADs all over will give their hires a long leash, unless. Lick will get time to turn it around. Meanwhile, they tend to have a very short leash with coaches they did not hire...happens all over. Like it or not, but Lick will definitely have Barta on his side for awhile longer.
