One Point Safety?

Kansas State blocked the extra point, KSU player picked the ball up and ran back into the end zone and then pitched it to another KSU player who eventually was downed in the endzone. They came back from commercial and ruled it was a safety and gave Oregon 1 point. First time I have ever seen that or even knew that rule existed.

I asked a friend who refs and he had no idea that existed

It would probably only apply to college as I think a blocked extra point is a dead ball in high school and NFL.
