ONCE AGAIN...

Rudock throws a baffling interception late to kill our chances. There's just no excuse for that throw. He wasn't being pressured, and the defender was right there when he threw. He played well up to that point, but he is the football equivalent of blue balls. Just when you think you're going to score...

He was pressing in the closing moments of a two possession game. Not an INT that I'm gonna worry about.

For as good as he has been this year - he really hasn't been a difference maker. He has been a very, very good game manager.

Seriously, this **** again? He made plenty of plays today, plus checked us into a lot of good plays. Not like last year, when Vandy would check us into running into a brick wall. He's not Trent Dilfer.

Without him playing the way he did today, they lose 34-7ish and don't have a chance. He's a good quarterback and when you consider that was the 7th game he's played, Iowa is fortunate here for the next few years.

There's just a whole lotta silly surrounding this topic

Rudock is a very good game manager! he also is a very good quarterback! He can make all the throws, albeit some better than others. Can he run like Braxton? Nope. How about run and dodge like Johnny Football? Nope. What he can do is quarterback the Hawks with his best effort. Oh and he is not a RGIII either!

This is a moot point, game was already lost, JR was desperately trying to make a play and one of our pathetic WRs probably blew a route. Rudock deserves NO blame for this loss.

My vote for most moron post of the day...and it's really saying something for you to win this award. This kid has been the difference on offense and he is the one that gives us a chance to beat the remaining teams on our schedule. He engineers three scoring drives in the first half, all over 12 plays, against the number 4 team in the country, in their house. He stood in the pocket several times until the very last moment and got killed by a DT, see KMM's touchdown, and you have the gall to say he's a game manager.

Get a freaking clue dude. Our offense showed they have an identity now...and you better tighten the chin straps if you are NW, Wisky, Purdue, Michigan, and Nebraska. This has a 2008 feel to me.

I thought Jake played a great game. To play the way he did, on the road, in front of 102,000 fans against an unbeaten team, was a testament to the composure he shows. It was a bad toss ... but you can't fault him. Jake kept us in the game and did not get rattled. OSU is an intense environment. I give Jake an "A" for how he played today.

baffling? If I had a dime for every college QB who throws an Int in the last few minutes while deperately tryiing to drive, I'd be a wealthy man. Happens a lot.

perhaps this didn't get posted - but the WR cut his route short. maybe there is a reason #22 isn't playing as much as the message board hok fans think he should. nothing against him as he is a new hawk, but still.
